Foundational Principles

The Board of Directors has established the following principles as the basis for all activities of Wyoming Family Alliance as a Christian ministry:

  1. We represent Jesus Christ in all we do and as such we conduct our business in a way honoring to Christ and consistent with Scripture. (2 Corinthians 5:20, 6:3)

  2. We are here to serve, not to be served. (Matthew 20:20–28)

  3. Christ will measure our success. (Proverbs 16:2–4)

  4. Any glory belongs to Christ. (Psalm 34:1–7)

  5. We will be completely truthful in everything we do. (Psalm 15:1–3)

  6. Our advocacy efforts will be characterized by civil persuasion, not belligerent confrontation. (Proverbs 15:1–2)

  7. We will take great care as we appropriate the resources God gives us to do it as good stewards under His direction. (Luke 16:10)

  8. We will not compromise these principles or our integrity regardless of the circumstances or perceived benefits. (Ephesians 6:10)

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. We believe that Jesus is eternally God the Son, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as a substitute for sinners, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will return to earth in power and glory.

  3. We believe the 66 books of the Bible to be God’s message to mankind, inspired by the Holy Spirit, infallible, authoritative, and accurate for life and eternity.

  4. We believe all people are sinners, separated from God because of their sin and that salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Christ as savior and Lord. Good works are the evidence, not the cause, of salvation.

  5. We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell and that all people will spend eternity in one of these locations.

  6. We believe God creates each person with an immutable biological sex—male or female—and that God’s good plan for marriage joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, life-long union, with sexual intimacy to occur only within that relationship. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

  7. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of the Wyoming Family Alliance.
